I was hungry when we got to Kyoto. Luckily we had bought this rice triangle with seaweed - Onigiri - it's pretty cool, and it makes for a great snack!
In Kyoto we found so many people wearing kimonos. We walked through endless webs of these narrow streets my dad loves! So much great food and drinks!
This time we stayed in a Japanese house and at night there were thousands of people out on the streets. My dad looked it up, says it was a great thing we were here that day, because the most famous festival in Japan had just started - Kyoto Gion Matsuri!
It may have also been sumo season! There are only 6 tournaments every year. We didn't see it live, but we were able to catch them on TV, and even practice!
