We eventually landed in Mexico City. My mom said that 22 million people live here...
"Too crowded" - was my first thought, as there was people everywhere.
But then I realized, there was always someone trying to help! First at the airport, then it seemed that everywhere we went people were offering to help!
Everyone was quite nice. The streets were busy. At every corner there was always someone cooking, and you could tell the good food from the bad by the number of people waiting in line.
My mom was born here, and I was finally able to meet my mom's dad! I met my mom's sister and mom before, but not her dad. We had breakfast and talked a lot. I didn't get much of what they were saying but I could tell they were very proud and happy to see me.
They never traveled, not like we do at least... Their whole lives they focused on work and raising my mom and her sister. Did you know my grandpa here had 3 jobs!? 3! My mom says he was sometimes grumpy and sometimes it seemed he only cared about them studying. My mom and dad are sometimes grumpy and they only have one job... can you imagine 3? They worked hard so that my mom could have a good education. That was a good thing because otherwise my mom possibly wouldn't have ended up going to New York and met my dad and then I would not have actually been born!
