Obidos and Caldas da Rainha

Portugal is a very old country. Small, but with lots to see.

On our last day in mainland Portugal we visited Obidos, which has an amazing castle and a little picturesque village protected by its old walls, and Caldas da Rainha, where my dad grew up and first went to school.

After lunch, we got to see my dad's elementary school, which was fun because it really doesn't look like my school, but he says it was also a great school!

We even got to meet one of my dad's friends! And now he also has a son - so I also made a new friend!

There was other places and people my dad wanted us to see and meet but like he always says:

"It's good to leave a place without doing everything you wanted - that way you have a reason to go back"
