Unusual experiences

Mexico has lots of great food! And we tried so many different things - sopes, conchas, churros, pollo con mole, nopales (cactus), cecina (salted beef or pork), chicatana (chicatanas are ants) salsa, tacos, enchiladas, hand made tortillas, cafe de olla, and more..!

My favorite so far has been the Fish tacos. My dad likes the Gobernador tacos the best.

He told me that whenever we're somewhere new that we should try their local food, practice the local language and learn from the people here. One night before dinner I had this special salsa - Chicatana ant salsa - it's made with real ants! I didn't like it, but I'm glad I tried it!

My parents also ate crickets and my dad found this drink that is made with rattlesnake poison... I don't know why people would have that but he was happy he found it.
